And nothing comes out. Nothing, nothing gonna wake me now. All her life, she's felt like she was falling. Falling in love, falling of the pedestal, falling asleep, falling, falling...failing.
She was born to powerful mages, and sent to boarding school with great expectations resting above her. At first, it was wonderful, she was adored and respected for her bloodline, she had friends and admirers everywhere she looked. But it was only so long before they faded away, as they realized she had no true talent for magic, as they realized she was nothing. She tried everything to get back their attention, she pushed herself desperately trying to find the magic that should have came so easily to her. But it was all in vain, she just had no magic within her. With this realization she decided that fine, she would just make magic, she would make them love her again, she swore it.
Flowers. I remember fields of flowers, soft beneath my heels. It worked, she won, so why does she feels so empty?
Her spells are the most potent in all the land, and all those who once threw her away plead for even a snatch of her words or a single look from her eyes. But it never made her feel the way she thought she was supposed to, nothing did. At least, not until she met him. He never needed her spells to be in love with her, and that was both terrifying and exhilarating. So, she had to make sure he didn't ever change his mind...
