Altair is the clan undertaker. As he deals with death often, his sense of humor is as black as the depths of the Tangled Wood. That said, he's extremely competent and is part of why more other Imperials than normal feel comfortable living in the clan. He has worked a bit with Vesuvius to make sure that there's a backup if Imperials' notoriously variable lifespans cause trouble, as well. His pendant is ostensibly a good-luck charm in hopes that won't come into play.
Contrary to most stereotypes, Altair isn't really reserved or quiet. He can read a room, technically, but he forgets to sometimes. Even so, he's always trying to lighten the mood with his jokes, even if that's somewhat less than effective. When he's off the clock, he's been known to bet on some of the games that the other dragons play. This can lead to issues when he gets ahead of himself, so he's also occasionally seen helping with the dishes at the café...
