Vykos (678)
Second King of Myste

As Ella's firstborn, Vykos was heir to the throne. He was taught to rule and fight; he learned the world's languages and met with ambassadors. As he grew older, he understood the growing discontent between his country and Indraleam. His aunt's prophecy quickly traveled throughout the castle, and Vykos knew the war was coming. The swords were sharpened, and the armor was polished; the army was ready for a fight. The young prince was granted his own battalion and led the charge against the enemy. While his mother was unharmed, Vykos was not so lucky. A misstep led to him being blinded and his hands heavily damaged by a fire spell.

He spent months in the hospital ward, the doctors doing their best to bring normalcy to the young man's life. They were able to salvage his hands with the help of Mariela, the Royal Inventor. She created special gloves that protected his hands and gave him back his strength. His eyes were a lost cause; he'd never see again.

Following a somewhat peaceful rule, Vykos passed away in the arms of his wife. He was 678 years old.
