Personality
Arion is a trickster dragon with a silver tongue. Visitors to the town fall victim to his shell games and other rigged enterprises, lining his pockets with treasure and gems. He is extremely charismatic, though his disregard for others borders on sociopathic. The only other being he seems to care about is his mate, Hestia. He sees no value in order, but neither does he have a passion for chaos. He does have friends and allies, but he will always put himself first.

In the dim lantern light of Arion's fabric hung den, the tarot cards are laid on the worn wooden table with a dull slapping sound. He closes his eyes and draws three cards. Hey lays them face up one by one, and opens his eyes. The Tower. The Devil. The Eight of Swords. He knows from the tugging sensation that drew his talons towards those cards that this is a true reading, not a false one, like he performs for the travelers. Disaster, sadism, and helpless fatality. Alden merely looks resigned to his fate, as if he's known for long enough now that he cannot bury his head in the sand any longer.

"Answer me one question," Alden begins "Is it coming from the woods?" Arion takes a moment to follow the feeling that led him to those three cards. Images flash through his mind. Fire and smoke. Blood on autumn leaves. A monstrous antlered figure with a bone face and blood dripping from its twisted body. He merely has to nod for Alden's face to crumple.
