Biography
Semira
The Matriarch
Before the clan
Semira was always a natural born leader. Even in her litter she would lead them and other cubs out of the tunnels her clan called home and venture the marshy land of the Shadow flight. Oftentimes this would get her in trouble with her parents, however, and she quickly began to feel stifled while grounded in the murky tunnels. As a result, as soon as she was big enough to care for herself, she fled the nest to look for a new clan to call her own; one that wouldn't tell her what to do and what not to do. Joining Nightwing She didn't have to travel far, for soon she came upon the small dam built by Apollyon and Breen. A small ragtag clan had begun to form under the quiet Mirror's leadership. She saw her chance and joined the clan, soon challenging him for control. He recognized her potential even when she had first joined the clan, and gave up authority quickly, on the condition that she still consulted him for major decisions. After all, her headstrong and stubborn tenancies were sure to lead the clan to poor decisions, and what better to remedy that than a cool and collected second in command. Coatl Capacity She met Tang one night when she received a report of a coatl group approaching their territory. Unsure with what a pure coatl group would want to do with her clan, she approached them with caution, Apollyon on her tail. Tang was the leader of the bunch, her feathers ruffled and torn in places as she stood her ground proudly before the larger dragon. As Semira took in the hallowed, dirty faces of the group she knew what she needed to do. She took the entire bunch under her wing, allowing them to stay for as long as they needed to recuperate from their travels. As it turned out, the entire group were refugees of multiple clans that had been attacked and nearly wiped out in a massive territory war. None of them had a place to call home anymore, and the only choice they had was to move to find a new home. Semira found that she pitied them, although Tang angrily protested to her pity; They were the strong, the fortunate, and proud. They would not accept pity from stronger clans. Semira found that she admired the whiley young coatl, and offered her and her comrades a permanent place in her clan. Having strong allies was sure way to protect one another after all, right? Tang found herself agreeing. And thus the small clan of Nightwing was transformed into a new clan deemed the clan of Tropical Nightfall. One welcoming to any and every orphan, refugee, traveler, or lonely nobody out there. An old friend Semira had grown up alongside more than just her family; She had a friend that was like no one she'd ever seen. Another Ridgeback, a runaway from Plaugelands, stumbled upon her hatchling clan and settled in for lack of any better solution. Semira became quick friends with her, breaking her sturdy walls down with a toothy grin and a cheesy joke. Whenever she would laugh, Semira found her chest set aflutter- she never realized why before she ran off herself in search of her own clan to care for. The pitch Ridgeback that had once been her friend was forgotten in her pride and joy over finding her own clan to lead. That is, until a familiar set of gem-riddled, obsidian scales showed up on their doorstep. Semira couldn't believe her eyes at first. Was this a cruel trick of some beast or had her friend returned to her? Her question was quickly answered when Khalida tackled her to the ground, tears pricking her eyes. She had missed Semira more than she had ever even considered, and her heart sunk as she took in the sad sight before her. Without second thought, Semira comforted her by nuzzling into her neck- an intimate display for the Ridgeback who never showed any interest in starting a family. She welcomed Kahlida to stay in the clan, with her, for as long as she wanted. Kahlida vowed to never leave Semira's side again, to convey her feelings towards the larger Ridgeback, whether or not she would reciprocate did not matter. Fortunately, Semira did without hesitation. The two have been inseparable since. Personality Proud; Humorous; Adventurous Although she is extremely headstrong and stubborn, always wanting to do what she wants when she wants it, she is a very effective leader. She won't back down from a foreign challenge and always seeks to expand the territory in order to welcome new family whenever needed. She very much enjoys jokes and has a great sense of humor, and most out of her mouth will be a joke when there's that toothy grin on her face. |
