Luthien was born in an ancient lair deep within the Hellwell Undercroft. His parents were Jaden the Wildclaw of the Plague flight, and Isolde the Mirror of the Fire flight. His home clan was the Adlucinatio Clan, a clan with no defined leader, but a council that dealt with any concerns or disputes led by a Figurehead, a title that was transferred to a different member of the clan every so often to enforce total equality. It is the same clan that Vitas comes from, and as such, the two grew up together, though upon arriving in the Starfall Isles, Luthien did not immediately recognize his childhood playmate, as Vitas no longer goes by the name his parents gave him. Whereas Vitas grew up to be 'The Voice' of the younger generation, with his songs carrying motivational messages of peace and harmony, Luthien has considerably less interest in being a positive influence. Rather, Luthien is a rather lawless individual who leans more towards anarchy than harmony. Instead of every dragon taking responsibility toward the upkeep and development of the clan, Luthien believes it should be every dragon for himself, and why not? It's survival of the fittest in the Scarred Wasteland. If a dragon can't make it on his own, what use is he to the Plaguebringer? Luthien intends to prove to everyone that he is the fittest, and he plans to do so by putting his life on the line in front of hundreds of spectators, night after night, with death-defying stunts that are not for the faint of heart! Luthien moved to the Arcanist's domain intending to make a deal with Jelionas and his fledgling circus, but was intercepted by a well-dressed, soft-spoken Nocturne with a dangerous glitter in his midnight eyes. He introduced himself as Bellamy, assistant to Eris, otherwise known as the Diva of Discord. She, too, was seeking talent such as his own for her own dark carnival of horrors. She thought that his act could be just what they needed to attract the crowds away from Jelionas and his bunch of clowns. How could Luthien say "no" to a fellow Plagueling? |
