Robin

An unclaimed Nocturne egg was found in the Starfall Isles during Night of the Nocturne. Riptide did all she could to find the family, but with no luck. Then the egg hatched, and a robin's egg blue hatchling blinked up at her and Jarick with the pale green eyes of the Wind flight. From that moment, Riptide knew that she had a new purpose: raising this little one. They named him Robin, after his primary coloration, and once he was old enough, they introduced him to Misty, their current Wind flight representative, because they thought he could use some education about his background. Misty turned out to be a rather poor teacher, however, and irresponsible when it came to keeping an eye on a mischievous young Nocturne, so Riptide was greatly relieved when Anemone the Obelisk stepped in and offered her services. Anemone made it clear that her first responsibility was to the Earthshaker's mandate, however, she couldn't help but feel that this might be a part of her purpose as well, to educate the young in their elemental magic. She took to the job very seriously, and soon little Robin was completely enamored with his tutor. So much so, in fact, that one day he came to Riptide and Jarick and announced that he intended to undergo a breed change, turning himself into an Obelisk! Patina the Imperial had taken him shopping at the Marketplace, and had convinced the young drake that he absolutely needed some new gene scrolls as well - never mind that he didn't have that kind of spending money. Dismayed, Riptide and Jarick went to Anemone, but the Obelisk shook her head when asked to talk Robin out of this. "Robin is struggling to discover his identity," she told them sadly. "He needs to figure this out on his own. All we can do is support him."

Needless to say, no one was expecting the dragon that showed up on their doorstep that very evening. A handsome young Obelisk stood there, with primal Wind eyes. It took them a moment to recognize him.

"Robin, what have you done?" Riptide cried, embracing her now much larger adoptive son. "How on earth did you afford it?"

"I had some help," the young drake replied cryptically, stepped away from her. "Listen, Mom, I can't stay here with you anymore. It's not that I don't appreciate all you've done for me, but the winds are calling my name. Now that I'm an Obelisk, I have to fulfill the mission the Earthshaker gave us all."

With that, he left. Riptide and Jarick know he's still in the area, but Robin no longer acts as if he recognizes them. The only news they get of him is from Anemone, whom he's still in regular contact with.
