"You can't enter clangrounds without me knowing."

Euryale practically flipped a boulder when Astrid brought back an abandoned lightning egg from their scavenging. The matriarch commandeered one of the nests, doted on it despite the sparks, and eventually a small fae emerged.

She was not prepared for just how small he was.

The hatchling rode between her wings for quite a while, but was left with her other mostly-grown adoptees when she took trips to the market or patrolling. Enishi's friendship with Zariel, of all dragons, was rather unexpected, but it seems Euryale's ferocity rubbed off on him. Too small for the still-rowdy skydancer to catch easily and quite willing to zap back. They truly hit on a genuine friendship though with bone-crafting: Raziel bringing home bones from a hunt, Zariel skinning them, and Enishi bleaching and cleaning them.

His curiosity too about anything brightly colored or that moved suddenly made him a good spotter. Now that he's grown, the three of them form the borderguard, making sure the borderstones are in place and generally keeping out troublemakers. He made all the skull jewelry and horns that they now wear and with the help of Torrigan's arcwards, they are the first people any visiting dragon meets upon crossing the invisible border to the clan, and he's usually their spokesperson. Given that he's less physically imposing than the other two.

He's also become Natalica's godfather of sorts. As another abandoned hatchling, he stepped up while Euryale was out fighting mimics to raise her and teach her everything he knew about the woods. She understands his language better than anyone but Zariel, and he always looks for plants she can use while on patrol.
(romance with Tecla?) What started as helping a recently breed-changed guardian adjust to her new fae body blossomed into a proper romance.

They are patrolling the borders when Nemoin's scream echoes over the Ruins and they take off immediately. Raziel is growling, a constant basso rumbling as her huge wings propel her far ahead of them. Zariel hisses in irritation as the boys struggle to catch up.

They are ambushed approaching the clan grounds. The skydancer shrieks as a blackish pearlcatcher launches from the trees, tackling him into the loam with a set of claws latched around his neck. He feels the urge to trill but controls it, pulling Light magic from the ground into him where it is easily subsumed into his Current. He spreads his wing vanes to keep the Current live, and sends a bolt at the intruder, but he shrugs it off and the panic builds. But Euryale blasts out of the bushes, a screaming ball of Light in her mouth and the assaulter flees. Tecla. He has to find Tecla.

Raziel is much stronger after her training. It makes him feel slightly less, even though he knows his mate couldn't care less about strength. Still, perhaps he will ask Goldfoo about finding someone to train with. He should keep up with his peers. His natural element lets him connect to the electrical screen currents around the lair and the Voltaic claws that Aromis built let him link to it from anywhere in the clan grounds, rather than having to maintain that connection himself.
