To say Nazareth is out of place would be.. An understatement. He doesn't match a single environment on New Sornieth, he barely has an understanding of its laws, dragonmade and physics, and seemingly is able to poof in and out of existence. But Nazareth isn't a spirit or a god, he's just a guy from another dimension who got stuck, rescued, but then never truly left. He loves this universe for its scenic locales, beautiful ruins and polite residents, not even batting an eye when told this was the result of the world being destroyed, he's doing his own thing and a little something like 'a planet destroyed by beings more powerful than the gods' wont stop him.

Nazareth's ultimate goal is to become a universe-spanning train conductor, taking dragons from various different universes to explore places they'd otherwise never see, he can teleport yes, but a train is more fun, is it not? The reason he visits this version of Sornieth in particular is to help them to make their own train stations so he'll be able to make a railway leading there, making sure he gets full permission from the leaders of each region.
