______ Lahela has only recently moved into the Thornspeaker clan, having been persuaded to leave her birth one by Eridanus so they could start a family of their own. As for why Lahela left and not Eridanus? The Bogsneak lost the coin toss. No, seriously. That's what decided the matter for them.

______ It's hardly like the couple don't visit Lahela's relatives anyway; the last thing Eridanus wants to do is make her feel cut off or isolated from his family. Not like he could even if he wanted to - Lahela's an extremely stubborn dragon, and once she's set her mind on something its extremely difficult to turn her away from it. Something that's caused more than a few arguments between the Bogsneak and Imperial in the past, though they've always managed to work through it once they've both had time to cool their heels.

______ Lahela is an astronomer, which ironically pairs very well with her mate's chosen profession. She can spend hours behind a telescope, just taking in the wonders of the night sky; a telescope that, hilariously enough, Amaranth borrows for astrophotography when Lahela's not using it. But in exchange she gets beautiful pictures of everything from the stars to nebulas and everything in between, so Lahela allows it. The Fae knows that if he even so much as puts a scratch on it he's dead meat.

______ The two of them have zero parental experience, and are understandably quite nervous about laying their first clutch. But the first step has to start somewhere, and Lahela and Eridanus have sworn to raise their hatchlings to the best of their ability. Come hell or high water, they'll make sure their little ones are taken care of.
