Valzor inhales deeply, taking in the cool night air. Despite being a Light dragon, he loves this time of darkness, when the sky is a blank, black canvas, ready to be painted. Almost as beautiful as what comes next. Their antennae quiver in anticipation. It's time.

They stretch their wings and take a running leap off the edge of the cliff. The wind whistles through his feathers. It's a little rougher today than usual, but he knows the route like the tips of his claws. He stays the course. He can almost smell the sun breaking the horizon.

They dip low, brushing the surface of the ocean with their talons and catching the first rays of light on their tail. The warmth sparks the magic in his underbelly, bringing it to life with a soothing, familiar hum. They roll to the right, streaking beautiful shades of orange, yellow, and purple through the sky behind them. The colours cut through the black of night and brighten it with the patterns of their wings.

When it is done, Valzor, Morning Dawnbringer and sworn devotee of the Lightweaver, turns back west, bringing a slowly-brightening sky behind them.
