He also goes by Jolly, Jingles, JollyJim, JimmyJingles, JingleJim, and sometimes J.J. or just Jay! JollyJingles' parents were Marn the Tundra of the Fire flight and Nolan the Fae of the Earth flight. He was born in an ancient lair carved into the Terraclae known as the Rookery, with his sister and two brothers. Jolly's father is fascinated with spirits, and when he wasn't mapping tunnel systems with the delving crew, he was trying to communicate with the many ghosts in the ancient networks. His mother was more concerned with the living, and worked hard on maintaining diplomatic relations between the Ryno Lair and neighbouring clans, beast and dragon alike. Jolly and his brother, PeppermintHumbug both share the Clownpants genetics, although Peppermint hasn't come into his own yet. Jolly knew from an early age that he wanted to join the circus. There's nothing he loves more than to perform crazy antics to make people laugh, especially if they need some cheering up. Jolly wants to spread cheer everyone he goes, and he especially loves interacting with hatchlings. He will even bring gifts of candy or small toys and hide them in his fur, and it is not uncommon to see him on the ground covered in giggling hatchlings trying to find the treats. Though Jolly is good at cheering up everyone else, he can get the blues too, especially when things are bad enough that a few jokes and pratfalls aren't enough to lighten the mood. Then he feels helpless and useless, and he needs the love of his truest friends to pull him up out of his funk. Luckily, the same methods that he uses on others work wonders on him as well! |
Jolly came to the Starfall Isles because he heard rumors of a Skydancer looking for circus talent, and he wanted to be one of the first in line! As it was, news travels a little slowly in Dragonhome, so he arrived a bit late to the game, but nonetheless, Jelionas was happy to have him on board!
