Crim the thinker ━━━━━━━ lore ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ____Crim was a thoughtful little plagueling and liked to wonder "what would happen if ____." Several times in his hatchlinghood he amused and concerned adults with his unabashed curiosity. "What if that thing didn't work?" "What if he messed that up?" "What if dragons were the familiars?" "What if ghosts took you away?" Anything and everything was subject to Crim's infant scrutiny and the questions only stopped when he was eating, sleeping, or thinking about a particularly good answer someone gave him. His brothers quickly learned to ignore his questions in their play, otherwise all they'd do is talk! Crim quickly caught the attention of the foremost strategist in his clan, Eridanus. The gaoler saw the mind and heart of a peerless general in the hatchling's incessant queries and took him under his wing. Regular tutoring from his new mentor saw Crim become bold and sharply focused as he matured. Eridanus was pleased with his young charge's enthusiasm and supplemented his learning with warrior's training from Bellatrix, the Warmaster. His instruction was more refined, covering the theory of many styles along with their basics instead of choosing one style to master. This comprehensive fellowship complemented his esoteric interests in ethics and philosophy, which Eridanus broadened in the art of rigorous debate. Now Crim is a courageous, refined dragon with the wit and eloquence of any Pearlcatcher. His pride is tempered by his curiosity and his innovativeness grounded by genuineness, but his confidence tends to still land him in trouble sometimes. His cleverness has resulted in his subtle, rapid jokes which usually fly over other dragons' heads and, if taken the wrong way, can sting as much as amuse. Crim's youthful wanderlust plagues him as he regularly wonders what he's missed staying in his small clan instead of traveling like his siblings. He's told his mentor of his wishes and Eridanus thinks it could help give him valuable experience. To start, Crim asked the most widely-traveling pair of the Laospí if he could accompany them with Eridanus's blessing to take a position if he felt comfortable doing so. With his guides, Crim visited several different settlements of dragons across Sornieth. He didn't expect to see the familiar face of Cadbury in one of these groups and, remembering Eridanus's words, Crim asked if he could be of use in this little hollow of dragons. To his surprise, they needed a general; Crim sent elated word back to his mentor and agreed to stay and begin his exciting, independent career.
