-sizeable lass with short wingspan one of 35 dragons with her colors, one of two mirrors, of 12 not exalted, of 3 active Present: -occupation: bonecarver + herbalist -learned extensive herblore from her mother despite not having much talent for healing magic, and usually carries some herbs and other remedies on her -carves bones from prey and sometimes found ones with delicate scrawls of runes and spiraling images- she has strict moral for using bone however, and at least part of every animal will be buried with a blessing before she begins carving -will sometimes sell her wares if she thinks dragons in the area would be interested in this type of ornament -excellent at fighting tooth and claw, so she serves as one of the designated guards on most expeditions Magic: Elation has long insisted she has noteworthy magic reserves, but Shiitake has had difficulty learning how to access them. She's resistant to most forms of disease and heals fairly quickly, but has yet to figure out how to cast any spells intentionally. History: Shiitake was found as an egg on the outskirts of the wasteland, abandoned in the midst of a battleground. The clan's sole plague dragon, a fae healer, brought the egg home and insisted on raising the child. She grew up headstrong and fierce, so alike to your typical plague mirror that the clan may have worried about her if not for her unquestioning loyalty and great respect for the dead. The mirror took in all the herbs and techniques her mother could teach her, but her magic proved useless for healing. Despite her fiery personality, Shiitake is slow to judge other dragons and always willing to befriend those who don't judge her back. -fell deeply in love with Deciduous, who was in turn enamored with her, which is perhaps a bit unexpected given how different their personalities are. Familiar: Goliath Mountain Beetle who is about half her size, named Resin, or Rez for short. He's a prickly fellow that enjoys riding in her back, a source of great disagreement between them. She has raised him since he was an oversized larvae. |
