A B O U T
Vermin is a taciturn denizen of the southern Rotwoods, holing up in an expansive cave system beneath the forest floor. They prefer to be alone and seem to be largely uncomfortable in the company of other dragons, often deliberately avoiding the foragers that pass through the area from the nearby clan.

Bug is the rare exception, as the diminutive fae shares their interest in spiders and will seek them out to share particularly interesting specimens. Though Bug will gladly bring around beetles, moths, and whatever other arthropods they happen across, Vermin seems most fixated on arachnids.

They can occasionally be persuaded to enter the clan’s lands by Bug, though these visits are few and far between.

Recently, they have been seen often accompanied by a small fae who brings them leftover tidbits from the clan’s meals. Though they haven't warmed to company in any noticeable way, they seem to allow Rat to tag along on their walks through the Rotwoods.

H I S T O R Y
Vermin’s parents are travelling chefs known for creating marvellously complex desserts from marzipan, mousse, and magic. While most of their siblings eagerly pursued culinary paths, Vermin instead found themself drawn to the strange and twisted organisms that inhabit the Scarred Wasteland where they were hatched. This interest has not left them untouched.

Though both of their parents are supportive of their interests--despite not quite understanding them--Vermin often privately feels that they have somehow failed their family legacy. A sudden breed change robbed them of the manual dexterity necessary to manipulate the delicate confections, robbing them also of the option to follow in their parents’ footsteps even if they wanted to.

The change to a banescale has also compromised the pretty patterns and coloration present in their parents. The soft cream underbelly of their family members has mutated into patches of lost pigment that expand over time.

Though Vermin does not dislike their new appearance, it’s difficult not to compare themself to their classically handsome siblings.
