Biography
PARIAH exile, mage prickly | blunt | solitary |
About A sinister-looking regular at the Seven Spades, even more so than its usual clientele. A dark Skydancer who appears to be dissolving at the edges, Pariah is not a dragon you want to meet in a dark alley, and she has a fearsome temper to match her fearsome looks. If you slight her in any way, she'll hold it against you until the end of time. She doesn't leave the tavern often, as her distinctive appearance would make it far too easy for her enemies to find her. Of course, if they did pick a fight with her, they'd likely not make it out.

Story
Pariah's strange appearance is a product of her incredible talent with Plague magic. Her body simply can't contain the power, and so it continuously leaks out of her. This led to her getting caught in between the Plaguebringer's army and a faction of assassins that held considerable sway in the Scarred Wasteland, who both wanted her power for their own. Pariah played both sides to her advantage, using them for personal gain while never committing to one or the other. This eventually landed her on both factions' bad side, and she left to look for work in other places.
She eventually found herself in Hellwell Undercroft, where she came into the employ of a researcher who had been exiled from the Plaguebringer's army for reasons they refused to disclose. In exchange for a hefty salary, Pariah agreed to perform tests with her power, on subjects both alive and dead. The last of these subjects was Tannin, who was intended to be the culmination of the researcher's studies of necromancy. Pariah was outraged at this misuse of her power, which she didn't realize until it was too late. She was willing to do anything asked of her except bring back the dead. Pariah, Tannin, and the researcher were captured by authorities from the Wyrmwound and put on trial. The researcher was executed for their crimes, and Pariah and Tannin were banished from the Scarred Wasteland. Pariah was devastated and enraged at this sentence, but she had no choice but to leave with Tannin in tow.
While she wandered Sornieth trying in vain to ditch Tannin, Pariah took a job guarding a smuggling ship headed for Traveler's Rest. While on the ship, she met Sange, whom the smuggler had captured and was planning to bring to the Gladeknights for a hefty bounty. Pariah found that she liked the fierce Veilspun, and released her once the ship had docked and she had been paid. Now that she was on yet another organization's bad side, Pariah took Sange and went to find someone who would shelter them. That someone turned out to be Chime, who agreed to protect the pair (and Tannin, who was still tagging along) if they agreed to provide extra security for tavern patrons.
