______ A sweet spell gave me my sight. My mother, the leader of the clan, is of course naturally blessed but I ended up with my father’s simple nature. No matter, it was easy to find the Shade. It was easy to learn the secrets of power. It was only when my mother and Akashia found me that I was forced to return home. To a place I never wanted to fit. I was fashioned a collar, a tie to this place. I cannot leave. This fancy adornment keeps me clan bound. They claim it is for my own good, to save me, but I know the truth.

______ They want my power for themselves. The power of foresight. I roll my pearl and can see the probability of anything written in the future. Of course I have used it for myself. No matter what I do I roll a 1 when I try to foresee my chance of escape. I no longer belong here. I must stay strong and not give back in to the comfort of the place I was born. I must get back and regain my power. For now though, for now I wait.
