My family is very precious to me. Please take good care of my kin, and if they ever need to leave your clan, please send them back to their family. If they have any children of their own, I would love to see them, and they will always be welcome in my clan.  Like their siblings, Gardbarn was a very energetic child. The quintuplets were notorious for playing pranks, mostly with their "babysitter" Snuasal. During the day they explored the seemingly endless beaches of their home clan, in the evening they snuggled into the soft fur of their mothers. They told them stories of the gods who had shaped their world and of their own flights. And they said that, before they even hatched, they themselves were blessed by two of these gods, the Tidelord and the Gladekeeper. Their mother SummerSea told them that the soft blue waves of their fur and the long, green strands of their mane were like a peace treaty of the lush forest and the mighty sea. At some point, when they were almost grown up, the five decided to go on a journey. They wanted to see the other flights and find out if they were just as amazing as their mothers said they were. Although their mothers Tigrisdyr and SummerSea weren't very enthusiastic about it at first, they eventually blessed them and let them go with a heavy heart. What calmed them down a bit was that Snuasal the Fae, who had always taken good care of the little ones, and Aurumnos, the mighty Imperial, would accompany them. Little by little they explored almost all known regions, met a lot of interesting people and saw fascinating landscapes. In the realm of the flamecaller they were even joined by another dragoness, Rowena. In the desecrated land of the goddess of plagues, however, their adventure took a dire turn. The inhabitants of the scarred wasteland had given them a friendly welcome and showed them the hidden beauty of the land, but also warned them. Just as they were on the edge of the land, Gardbarn noticed the wound on one of their paws. It appeared to be some kind of small stitch, as if they had stepped on a sting, but couldn't remember it. They kept it to themself a little insecure, it wouldn’t be too bad, right? Their brother Tropico was the first to discover that they was sick. Now every step ached, the purulent blisters puffed terribly. At their request, Tropice supported Gardbarn without telling the others, but after the inflamed skin also shimmered through the fur, they could no longer hide it. Now you couldn't miss the redness and the unhealthy, yellow streaks on his limbs. The infection burned its way through their body and Gardbarn could hardly walk. Only with the help of Aurumnos, who had to carry them for a few days, they'd made it back to the Aestruum clan. They where immediately taken to the healers. Fortunately, it looked worse than it actually was. The infection hurt terribly, but it wasn't fatal. There would probably be scars on the infected areas forever and the pain would never go away completely, but they still recovered well. Ultimately, when their mothers and father had calmed down a bit and they where completely healthy again, their siblings revealed to them that they wanted to leave the clan. They couldn't get enough of the world and now that they were sure that Gardbarn was fine again, they wanted to get to know more clans and eventually finde their own. Gardbarn, previously not sure whether they really wanted to stay with their birth clan, could not imagine leaving their family again. For the first time they had to say goodbye to the other siblings, but they knew that they would be happier here in the clan than anywhere else in Sornieth, and the others would find great homes too. ____________________________ |
