Biography
Ahriman
favorite food(s):
There are many unanswered questions when studying artifacts from civilizations past. What purpose did this object serve? Why were these seemingly unassuming trinkets buried with someone? Ahriman believes the best way to answer these questions is to ask someone from that time period personally. And how can you ask a dragon that passed long ago? Well, necromancy, of course! Communicating with spirits seems like an excellent idea (to him), as you can get answers straight from the source.
Ahriman, of course, lacks the ability to cast such spells to reanimate the dead, mostly because spells like that are highly taboo and not widely circulated. That certainly doesn't discourage him from trying! He seeks out rare scrolls and books, describing rituals and spells that claim to commune with spirits. He travels far and wide to seek out this forbidden knowledge, often running into dead ends (no pun intended) on his leads.
First and foremost though, he is an archaeologist. He works alongside Gaelian at the prehistory workshop, though Ahriman's field of work is related to ancient dragon society and not the extinct animals that his cohort studies. He scouts out ancient ruins and the remains abandoned lairs from centuries past to collect and study any remaining artifacts.
Even though he enjoys scavenging, collecting his finds to bring back home, Ahriman is respectful of heirlooms that are still of importance to the living. He leaves the objects that they ask him to not touch, studying them in their intended home and inquiring them about it's purpose. However, if an artifact is not affiliated with any modern society and forgotten, he'll gladly take it back with him. The idea of a curse doesn't bother him; he's more excited about the prospect of studying the magic involved in it. Fortunately, he's yet to be cursed... (For now.)
He's a very eccentric dragon, talking in a stilted manner that many find hard to understand. As a spiral, he's very energetic and moves around in loops while talking to someone. The only time he's able to sit still is when studying artifacts or magic; any other time he's compelled to move around in some way. Ahriman is friendly enough, but very blunt, often not considering how his words affect others. He mostly affiliates with his clanmates with a similar interest in the occult, and rarely can have a normal conversation with any others. Ahriman isn't bothered by how off-putting he is, as he has no interest in social presentation. The way he sees it, if others truly wish to talk to him, they'll accept him as-is.
extra:
His home is built into the mountains in the southeast of town, south of the prehistory workshop.
