As his name implies, Doc is a skilled healer, able to patch up most wounds- even fatal ones. Dead? Not a problem, Doc has his ways.

... A medical license? What are you talking about? Don't be silly.

In truth, however, Doc did not become a healer by choice; it was simply more a matter of "well, someone has to do it," and Doc simply was the most skilled person in the room. As the lack of medical license implies... yeah, he's not a real doctor at all. If anything, he's a hacker- one of the most skilled, and anonymously infamous ones around. He's the kind of hacker you see in movies, except for real. He's just that good. Only known as 2BDamned in cyberspace, there are no connections to who he really is.

Nobody is really sure where the name "Doc" comes from, but he's not exactly willing to give his real name either. Not even his closest allies know it, and more than likely, he will take his real name to the grave.

At some point, Doc worked for the AAHW alongside Deimos and Sanford, but dissented. It is unclear when Doc and Hank got acquainted, but one thing is for sure: they've been working together for a long time, and rely heavily on one another (even if Hank is loathe to admit it), and it was mostly under Doc's influence that Hank accepted Deimos and Sanford as allies. Doc is one of the reasons Hank can come back so easily from death, stitching the tattered remains of the mirror back together to the best of his abilities, and replacing that which has been lost permanently.

Doc is the strategic mind behind Hank's, Deimos' and Sanford's actions, and the one who most often prepares missions for them. He vastly prefers to stay on the sidelines, which isn't to say that he can't fight; unlike his friends, he is more cautious, and relies more on defense, deception, and subversion. He prefers to snipe someone down from a distance before they even realise he's there. This way, he usually avoids direct conflict by confusing and misdirecting his target. Doc is also the mission control for Status Quo, but for now only does this long distance; Honba's got things handled for the daily stuff, whereas Doc sends them the more specialised missions.

It was on Doc's advice (and much to Hank's lament) that the group moved into the Purring Winds, using the greatness of the clan as a defense mechanism of its own; your enemies can't exactly get to you when they have to go through a clan who will defend its members with utmost dedication.

Other things to note about Doc: despite his serious and grumpy outwardly demeanor, he really just has the sense of humor of a 12 year old. He has a whole message set up for potential hackers to run into when they try to hack his computers, filled with sarcasm, rude insults and inappropriate jokes. Completely the opposite of the pinnacle of maturity he likes to portray himself as. Doc is also the team handler and dispatcher for the organization, S.Q., does so long-distance, most of the time, since he travels with Hank, Deimos, and Sanford a lot.

Doc also has a sister. Do not ask about her. Seriously. Don't.
