A demolition expert. Sanford's a large, bulky dude who is very melee-savvy, preferring to take care of opponents in the close range with his signature hook, though due his profession, he also extremely proficient with a multitude of other weapons like guns, swords, etc. Usually, however, he relies on Deimos to take out enemies on the long-range, while he takes care of the stragglers who avoid Deimos' gunfire. Sanford prefers heavy-hitting attacks, and generally has the awareness to avoid incoming blows.

The more serious one between himself and Deimos, Sanford is usually calm and focused on his task, and the de-facto leader of the two, though he can get surprisingly expressive in combat. He enjoys what he does, that much is clear, as long as he feels in control. The time Deimos died left him woefully underprepared for the battle that was ahead, as the wildclaw is his charge, too shaken to fight at full capacity against enemies that, for all intents and purposes, were stronger than the ones he'd been facing. He was lucky Hank was there to fight alongside him, even if the latter is mostly focused on himself.

Out of all of them, Sanford is probably Doc's favorite patient to work with, by the sheer fact that he's the most careful of the group, barring himself. Out of all of them, Sanford is least likely to get mortally injured, and is most likely to accept Doc's treatments. Between the three "front-line fighters", Sanford is the only one who has not yet died at least once. Which, considering that he's a mercenary who works with Hank J. Wimbleton, is something of a miracle in itself.

Between the two of them, Sanford is somewhat more open about his past than Deimos; he grew up in a nature clan, where he was very close to his parents. Unfortunately, due circumstances that he's not willing to discuss, his parents died, which resulted in him doing various awful things before getting dragged into some shady business, which led him to Deimos and the AAHW. The AAHW is an agency dedicated to hunting down Hank, though in reality there is some far more... sinister business going on. As a result of said sinister business, he and Deimos both dissented to become mercenaries, and even Hank's allies. He is respectful of Deimos' unwillingness to speak about his past, however, and refrains from talking about those parts, even when asked.
