Deidara was a shinobi of Iwagakure. His Kekkei Genkai allowed him to use clay figures as bombs. He considered himself an artist as he felt that art was the beauty of the moment, short-lived like an explosion. As he reached for greater heights, he stole his village's secret technique which resulted in him getting mouths on his palms and his chest, allowing him to chew the explosive clay into figures even more efficient. His treachery made him a Nuke-Nin, and he was finally enlisted by Akatsuki.
Deidara did not want to join the organization at first, but he accepted to battle Itachi with the condition to be left alone if he'd win. However, Deidara was defeated by a Gen-Jutsu of Itachi's Sharingan and had to join Akatsuki against his will. He continued to hate Itachi for his defeat as he saw the Sharingan as inartistic and hoped to get his revenge. He was partnered with Sasori and although Deidara respected the older artist, they argued a lot about art. Character: ❖ - artistic - ❖ ❖ - relaxed - ❖ ❖ - proud - ❖ ❖ - stubborn - ❖ Deidara met Haruka shortly after her admittance. She liked his art which made them get along well. They used to hang out whenever they got the chance. As his feelings for her grew deeper, he was devastated to hear about her and Itachi. His contempt for the Uchiha only grew, but Deidara did his best to stay reasonable as he did not want to put the friendship to Haruka at risk. |
