Hazard, as Astra's clone, takes several weeks to realize that the memories she's had since her creation are not truly her own. They're off-kilter, anyway. Featuring strange creatures who aren't quite dragons or beasts, versions of events that Astra swears never happened. Deciding to make the best of her strange existence, Hazard tells her memories as fairy tales, playing up the strange and scary aspects of them for whoever is willing to listen. After all, Astra's flair for drama, at least, came through alright.

Astra herself isn't sure how to feel about her clone, but in the end, she likes herself too much to hold a grudge against her own likeness. They quickly grow as close as sisters, and on a whim train themselves to speak in unison, much to the dismay of those around them. Many of the clan's dragons find Hazard a bit uncanny- her motions not quite timed right, her eyes slightly too wide. But Astra never minds, and neither does her mate, Mantis.

In fact, Mantis is quite taken by Hazard's strange mannerisms. Although he tries to hide his attraction, his eyes follow Hazard around their shared den, delighting in her presence. And while Hazard is hesitant to take her sister's place, she can't deny being flattered that there's one dragon out there, at least, who prefers her strange imitation over the original. Astra, laughing, steps aside.
