When Mikan hatched, his parents both were thrilled. Raising him, they both began to teach him their passion for cooking. While his mother was skilled at making sweet foods, his father specialized in savory meals. While Mikan learned a lot from his father, he spent more time with his mother, learning the art of baking. Over time, he became well known throughout his clan for his abilities. Mikan is especially skilled at using oranges in his dishes and all of his special dishes contain oranges somewhere in them.

As he grew up, Mikan befriended another young dragon named Rhapsody who introduced him to a whole new world. The two hatchlings grew up together, running around their clan and getting into trouble. It was only natural that they began to develop feelings for one another. While as hatchlings they would each dare one another to do more and more daring feats, as young dragons they instead began to live more tamely. Now Rhapsody has to push Mikan into doing anything remotely dangerous.

The day finally came when Mikan had learned everything he could from their clan.
Desiring to move to a spot closer to the Shrieking Wilds, they began their journey together. Supporting one another on the trip, Mikan and Rhapsody finally came across the clan in the Sunbeam Ruins. They set everything up with the clan and before long were designing their lair to suit their needs. Mikan wanted everything to be perfect for Rhapsody and spent as much of his treasure as he needed to so that her lair could be perfect.

Mikan eventually opened his own restaurant in the clan, serving all sorts of food, although his specialty is fruit based dishes. Ironically, despite his preferences, Mikan is not good at desserts. That said, he enjoys surprising others with his dishes and expanding the palates of his clanmates, some of whom have never travelled far from the clan.

Over time, Mikan's food has gained renown throughout the clan, with many visiting his restaurant to taste his foods. Verity and Loki have begun using the restaurant as a place to meet when Serrure is otherwise occupied. Halloween has begun to also ask Mikan to cater for his parties, much to the new dragon's awe and excitement. Inventive, Mikan has now made it a personal challenge to outdo his previous attempts with each party.

Aside from cooking, Mikan enjoys competition. He has started to set up a small 'olympics' event for hatchlings. Mikan doesn't want to hurt any of the hatchling's feelings so he tries to come up with events each year that thy can excel at. This has made him a bit of a favorite among the hatchlings, pebble appreciating the help.

Name origin: Came to me with this name, but it is a type of orange in Japan.
