B I O G R A P H Y
______ His parents were ordinary gathers and no high standing in the clan. But when Nomai's egg was laid his clan knew he would be different His egg was a little brighter and a little bigger than the others. Blessed they whispered. A gift from the Gods they said. When he hatched they were proven right. His clan raised him up above his siblings and his parents, taking him and placing him with a high born foster family. Better that such a blessed hatchling be put with those who could really take care of him and his parents were appropriately compensated. Nomai was raised getting everything he waited when he wanted it. You deserve it they would say you are a gift from the Gods. And maybe he was. Maybe the deities had looked at his family and clan and thought they needed a leader or a general or a great mage and sent one. But what ever potential Nomai had was buried by the spoiled attitude his clan taught him. As he got older he made more and more demands.

Slowly his clan grew tired. They whispered for other reasons now. Blessed ha! Cursed more like. The gods didn't send us a leader they sent a fraud. He does nothing all day and yet expects everything. How dare he! He was no more special than the rest of us! Then another egg was laid. Another bright beautiful egg standing out from the rest. The clan began to whisper again. Another? What could this mean? Who was inside? Could they handle another dragon like Nomai? They would pass the nest everyday while completing chores and errands looking for signs of hatching. Nomai who had no chores or errands also stopped by. Curious he approached the egg carefully and reached out who claw to gently tap on the shell. He thought he heard a muffled chirp but the egg didn't move. He titled his head and moved closer and rested an ear on the warm egg and tapped again. Chirp! Smiling he backed away and left the nest silently promising to visit again tomorrow. Who ever hatched out of that egg would interesting! But it wasnt meant to be.

The clan met and decided that for the good of the clan the whole nest was to be smashed. It was a cuckoo a hatchling that didn't belong. There was no way of knowing if what was inside that egg would be good or bad so best to just be done with in now. When Noami sneaked out of his rooms to visit again he found only fragments of the shell. Miserable he fled back to the comfort of his rooms. But it happened again. A few days after the nest was smashed another special egg was found. They quickly destroyed that nest too only to find more and more beautiful eggs in the nests spread throughout the lair. They were cursed! Burn it all they shrieked the gods have betrayed us! Nomai stumbled on a smash nest trying to hide his crazed clan mates. Most of the eggs were smashed but hidden underneath the shells and goo was one last egg. Nomai carefully pulled it out and clutched it close. Without looking back Noami fled into the dark. One last egg saved from the chaos. A clan of butterflies found him lost in the wasteland and guided him to their lair. They put the egg in a nest to be watched over and told him he was welcome to stay. We get all sorts of dragons here they said, you are welcome to stay as long as you need
