a crime scene soaked in neon pink light
through cigarette smoke and heavy air
i hear a warning
she is coming, echoes the pale sky

orphaned at a very young age, dite was raised by kirka near the gold cove. he became the witch's apprentice and grew skillful in the arts of healing and magic. however, his desire for adventure wasn't satisfied by his life with kirka, and the young wildclaw ran from home never to return. this decision almost proved to be fatal, and to this day dite lives in hiding, keeping a keen eye out for the witch and her informers, his life riddled with paranoia and post-traumatic stress. however, if one knows where to look, the wildclaw also offers some of the most proficient services in magic and healing in the valley.

- young and reckless, flio once came to know too much and was subsequently cursed by kirka to a lifetime of servitude. marked by the witch, he had to adjust to being shunned by the ridgefolk every time he made the descent to the valley to run her errands. even though his former self was all but erased by the witch's hex, flio has retained some of his past defiance and artifice, and keen eyes can easily distinguish the small but bright glint of rebellion in his eyes.

a constellation trapped in a dragon's body, ninna is a minor deity of guidance and orienteering. blessed with divine might and cursed with a restless soul, they can travel and skip between planes and realities both physical and ethereal. they cannot close their eyes to anything and are often overwhelmed by the sheer amount of energy and knowledge surrounding them as well as their own lively subconscious and paranoia. the tiny wildclaw's immense amount of surging magic can manifest itself as physical shapes at their worst moments of panic, and when it does, nightmares walk on earth. in their pendant ninna carries a small part of an immense void and in their heart a restless wish to rejoin their sisters in the sky.

the flamekeeper's flock

in his youth paju, a highborn guardian with a knack for arrogance, was a paladin in lightweaver's name. after his search, however, he settled to a calmer lifestyle with his charge, an immense flock of leucistic crows. the guardian dedicated himself to the study of languages, communications and light magic. he often distances himself from everyday interaction to observe it from afar and to reflect upon whatever unsolved mysteries of the world. this is often read as coldness even though paju thrives on hearty relationships and, not unlike any light dragon, good debates.

kirka inherited a strong magical potency from her mother as well as a strength in the field of mind control. she is also a very adept healer, known for her herbal remedies and incenses, some potent enough to kill. famously intoxicating and known to induce trance-like states and weaken one's grip of reality, the imperial's medicine always seems to end up on the black market and into shifty hands. her patient and kind nature conceals the fact that she is, in fact, completely aware of this and in a very respected position in the criminal underworld. behind kirka's sharp eyes lie more terrifying secrets, as well, and it's ill-advised to strike any bargains with her, lest her cold black hands are indeed capable of such deeds as they are rumoured to be.

- sagesmoke and a healing
touch in your velvet core

morgan is a healer, living and working at the westernmost edge of the tent city. his skill is based on his knowledge of chemistry rather than magic, and he has spent years researching different herbs and their medical qualities, with quite fruitful results. the wildclaw has a cure for almost anything but very little patience with his patients. still, his stand is one of the most popular ones away from the market. he also mixes and sells perfumes, incenses, teas, and a highly alcoholic medicine-infused beverage, known amongst the tent dwellers as "valley wine", as a side business.

- an ex-pit fighter and slave, rastas is no stranger to abuse and trauma. he is plagued by anxiety and paranoia and often unburdens with acts of extreme recklessness. he was born from ashes, from nothing, and all he wants now is to die in flames and be remembered. his megalomania might be the only thing that has saved him from surrendering even though everything else in his life has prompted him to.

- autius found a meaning to his life in a small, vicious wildclaw. with his promise to follow and protect his charge, he gave up his life as a warrior and took up that of a vagabond. the conflict between following his own, rational decisions and those of his reckless, anxious charge has torn at autius' heart for years, and the guardian has a hard time finding peace in anything other but his own resolution.

- brimming with a breathing shadow

there's something extremely disquieting about itkut's ominous, non-coherent monologue and the dust that seems to constantly be falling off of their scales. their magic, which is of the more destructive kind, has definitely had its heavy toll on itkut's psyche and physique both. they have control over life and death, but not entirely on their own terms. there's something darker living inside them; a shadow of an ancient memory turned sentient by its contact with itkut's magical potency.
