______ When one heard the word ‘god’, they would imagine a lot of things. A favorite of dragons to do is to assume two things about the god’s chosen form.

The first was that they would take on a draconic form, but with more limbs and divinity, enough so to divide them from ordinary dragons. The second was a being so otherworldly and celestial that trying to comprehend their form would burn retinas out. Both of them had one similarity, and it was that the form would always be different, be godlier, than an average dragon’s form.

Solis was neither of those things.

No, instead, she took on the form of an unassuming Veilspun, with a dark sheen to her golden skin and hair. One who walked and talked with other dragons as if she was one of them — and perhaps she used to be one of them, who would know otherwise? — and acting much unlike a classic god would.

Perhaps that was how she seemed more ancient than others.

She made sure to keep much about herself as unknown as possible. Was she actually a god? Was she simply a powerful Veilspun who kept to herself? Was she something else entirely, something old and ancient and yet not quite a god?

Well, that was for her to know and for others to guess.

______ Still, Solis was a kind and friendly Veilspun. She offered help whenever she could, cared for and tended to the sick and injured, spent time with the dragons she’d become friends — or friendly acquaintances, depending on who you ask — with. Nobody really minded what or who she was anymore, even if she still seemed mysterious and, well, confusing.

One thing was for sure, though: Solis was more than what she seemed to be.

Beside the shorelines of beaches or on the boundary between two forests, one would be able to find a golden Veilspun, gleaming and glowing even with the sun shining high above, and especially in the quietness and darkness of the woods.

Should one seek help or advice, Solis would treat you kindly and offer what she can. Should one wish to have a talking partner, she would be friendly and chat with you. But should one attempt to harm those she holds dear to her heart… well, they all say to never make a god angry for a good reason.
