Pyntoth Pronounced Pin-tow-th She/Her Mate of Blackmore Aquaphobic Water Mimicker It's no secret in Sornieth that Ridgebacks have a legendary aversion to water. That said, there are some Ridgebacks throughout the history of the Snowfall Scavengers who have no such aversion. Probably the most notable is Maelstrom, an Ocean Spirit who took on the form of a Ridgeback. Perhaps the irony was intentional. It is safe to say, though, that Pyntoth is not one of these exceptions. If ever there were a Ridgeback who followed the rule, it's Pyntoth. Aside from drinking water, she absolutely despises it. In fact, she's downright terrified of it.

She rarely leaves Frostgrove Sanctuary for any reason; the entrance is right on the waterfront, so she does her best to steer clear of it. That's not even to mention that, since the lair is located in the Frigid Floes, practically the entire thing is floating on the ocean. She tries not to think about it too much. Her original birth name was Fathom, which she decided to change for fairly obvious reasons. But if all that weren't bad enough, she inherited her father's power of water mimicry. That's right: she literally is water.

Truthfully, she feels a bit ashamed to be so afraid of water. Not that she's necessarily ashamed of having such a fear, but because of how much it separates her from her parents and siblings. As stated, her father, Sunshine, is a water mimicker. Her mother, as it turns out, is Maelstrom, the Ocean Spirit mentioned previously. Pyntoth's sister, Tsunami, is an astonishingly powerful water bender. Her brother, Seaweed, doesn't have any inherent water-related powers himself, but he's nonetheless a lover of the sea. Compared to all of them, Pyntoth is undoubtedly the odd one out.
