He would eventually find his way into piracy, and joined the ragtag crew of Pocket and Plunder. A raid-gone-wrong saw the three captured by Toil and Deirn, along with some of the rest of the crew. They were all brought back to the clan so as to receive a just punishment. Widmun took pitty on Ysvete, and offered to personally keep an eye on him as he served his time.

Ysvete would come to befriend Widmun's apprentice, Tharros, who had a fiery soul that was similar to his own. As time progressed, so to did their relationship, and Ysvete is now proud to call Tharros his mate. While Tharros continues to work with Widmun as a member of the Clan Guard, Ysvete found himself returning to the sea as a crew member of the Iridescence. Despite his many efforts, he's yet to fully win the trust of the crew - not to mention the trust of the whole clan. Some are more than willing to remind him of this; for example, Ysvete insists his name is pronounced "Yih-svet," though many of the clan members make it a point to pronounce it differently, such as "Seh-vet."
