Bodhi left their birth clan in Dragonhome with their brother, Matthies. They were both young tundras at the time and the decision to leave was made by a frog. "You're telling me we should leave because this thing apparently talks to you and told you so?" Matthies grimaced at the perfectly round amphibian. "Exactly!" Bodhi said, entirely missing Matthies' scepticism. "There's a calling for us in the lush life of the Labyrinth." "It speaks to you in rhymes and riddles too?" But Bodhi was too busy chasing the frog to hear. "Wait, wait! You're leaving right this second? What about supplies? How long is the journey? Aren't you going to tell anyone?" They were gone, and it was left to Matthies to gather what he'd need and try and track them. It wasn't difficult, Bodhi didn't have much awareness of their surroundings when they got like this, but such fantastical thinking was dangerous beyond their clan boarders. When he did catch up to them, the frog was perched atop his sibling's head, with the same expression on its face. It annoyed Matthies to no end, but he could not convince Bodhi to return home. He had to see the journey through to keep Bodhi safe. Bodhi's trust in the mystic frog was well founded. It led them to the Meristema Clan, the ancestral home of Bodhi's father, and they arrived there safely. The were met with much fuss and excitement and were taken into the fold right away. The whims of the frog did not rest for long. That night, Matthies awoke to find Bodhi gone and tracked them to a cave. What he saw there finally convinced him the frog was intelligent but deeply unsettled him. It was in the centre of a glowing pink circle, making a low rumble, and when it turned to look at Matthies, a large pink eye opened in the air above it. Matthies, being naturally faint of heart, had overcome and achieved much during the journey but now he promptly fainted. Bodhi did not lose focus, and felt their body grow stockier. When the light extinguished, they saw that their brother had become a sparkling dainty fae. Bodhi smiled. They had become their true selves here, as promised. Bodhi would look after Matthies now, just as he'd protected them.
