Energetic - Free Spirited - Loves Birds
Avery is hyperactive and boisterous, traits that made it rather difficult for his parents to keep him hidden the first few weeks of his life. Once out in the world, Avery was immediately enamored by birds and fellow creatures of flight. Having been born in a clan beneath the waves, he’d never seen anything other than dragons fly, and longed to follow the feathered creatures into the sky and onwards to unknown adventures.

Unlike his parents, Avery doesn’t seem to possess much aptitude for magic. He can however naturally sense and see spirits, ghosts, and undead, much like his father. Spirits of flight and wind seem naturally drawn to him, and it's unclear whether his love for all things affiliated with them are the influence of those spirits or entirely his own.

Avery was born in the deepest part of the world to a clan whose members are as varied as the flights from which they hail. He was the only surviving egg from Osprey and Ruse's first clutch, and for the early portion of his life he was kept a secret from all but his parents most trusted allies. The depths of the sea are a treacherous and savage place possessing of an unforgiving undertow and precious little light. While many wonders are said to exist in this unbroken twilight, it was certainly no place for a young dragon to thrive. As such, Avery's father smuggled him from the clan and into the care of trusted allies.
