About The graveyard is often avoided in their area of Starwood, and not just due to the uneasy feeling of walking near buried corpses. Resting inside one of the trees is a shack, belonging to a bogsneak known as Banshee. Known as both the grave keeper and a local witch. Banshee is a small yet stout bogsneak dragon with black scales that carry a green hue. The markings all along her back and wings are different shades of obsidian, only noticeable when in direct sunlight. This helps with blending in the dark. Along her body are faint green bone outlines, similar to that of a skeleton. Not only that but she is always seen wearing a cracked ram skull mask and several bird skulls around her neck. Mushrooms grow out of her left shoulder, and she's always seen wearing a dapper vest and bracelet. She's a very weird dragon, to say the least. She's not like Ophelia (who enjoys morbid things to appreciate life more), as she's just a relatively dark and sinister-sounding dragon. Communication is not a strong point as she's often rude towards strangers. She knows no social cues and will tell dragons things that are unintentional threats. But she doesn't care. Socialization isn't in the cards as she prefers to be alone and uses her poor skills as an excuse to stay away.

Story Banshee is known to be a bit of a mystery, even to dragons who know her better than others. Every time her past is brought up, the story changes in some way. "I was instructed to come here by a dying dragon, who claimed he could see the future." "I once traveled the world, and came here on a whim due to the pleas of spirits." Or even "I thought the area looked nice enough for work. The floral's nice." No one knows for certain, and they don't know what she's brewing up. But everyone knows of her little tricks with the dead. Banshee claims she can hear the dead speak. She cannot see them or feel their presence but relies only on their past words. While some call it false, there are some dragons who have seen her work and claim her power to be real. But again, Banshee always keeps alone and never works with other dragons. In fact, those who come close to her shack are often driven out by so-called spirits. Dragons who manage to get inside find only caldrons and jars of weird oddities and potions. Even the way she talks to them is enough to give red flags, often commenting on their uses in a sinister way. "Those are some strong wings of yours." Do you know how much your spine can cost to some dragons?" But she'd dismiss them as just jokes and little fun facts. |
