______ Naos has a special gift when it comes to birds. She just understands them on an instinctual level, causing many dragons to call her an avian/bird whisperer. Contrary to popular opinion, she can't actually understand the chirping as though they're words, but they don't need words to be able to understand each other. As cheesy as it sounds, they understand each other's hearts.

______ The birds are happy to help Naos out, so long as she gives them something in return of course. In the wilds, there's no such thing as a free lunch, after all; and they need compensation for the time they're spending not hunting for food while they're helping her out. Something Naos is happy to do - she even has feeders hanging all over the tree next to her house, which is also covered in bird houses. Yes, its rather loud, but Naos enjoys having her feathered friends close by and provided for more than the small annoyance she feels at their volume. And when they're chirping and singing so happily, raising baby birds in the safety of what the clan refers to as the 'bird tree', free of worries about food...it fills Naos's heart with joy.

______ Naos and Tamua actually bonded over these birds; Naos found a hatchling on the ground with a broken wing, having fallen from the nest, and started treating it on the spot. Naos came across him doing this and was incredibly grateful for the help - she didn't have the sheer knowledge on healing that Tamua did, and he could do a lot more for the poor baby bird than she could. Once the little hatching was fully healed, Naos put him back in his nest, and it was pretty much love at first sight for her from there. It took some time, and a lot of work, but eventually, she won Tamua's heart. The day they became mates, he packed up his things and moved into her den with her, where he's lived ever since.
