Not many dragons can fish as well as she can. It wasn't something she normally did, but once she caught wind of the news of a rumored dragon looking for a mate; she got her bait, put out her line, and waiting for the great fish to bite. It wasn't that she was a gold digger, or cared much that the deities seemed to frequently gift the Searing Spirit clan. No, when she heard about Hotaru she had a feeling that he was the one she had been waiting for. Once she saw him, she knew with all her heart that he was. She didn't care about his previous occasional philandering. Blaine knew he was ready to settle down. Why else had he advertised that he was looking for a mate to be loyal to? Even if he didn't mean it.. She would make him mean it.
Upon their vows being said, true to rumor, the Flamecaller gave both her and her mate a gift. She received a new crystalline armored hide, wings looking as if they were part of a current, and a glimmering belly. Looking at Hotaru, he had received the same glimmering belly. Proud of herself and being able to know who was the right mate for her has spurred the clan to make Blaine their resident matchmaker.
