Biography

Shameadanat
Mimic Detector

Overwatered Seedling Calculating Candelabra
Swinging Chandelier Ensorcelled Volume
People often ask Shameadanat how he does it. How can he walk into a room, give it a quick once-over, and point to any mimics within a minute? The answer is that it's all about the vibes. Mimics give off very rancid energy.

Magically inclined dragons of the clan, like Misancor or Eulhae, insist that there's no way that Shameadanat can be using magic. Their keen senses for magic use would detect it. Mathematicians, like Nezeia, maintain that the likelihood of correctly predicting the presence of mimics is statistically impossible, so he must be helped by some kind of spell. Nobody looks too closely, though. If the slavering chests of drawers and vicious candelabras are gone, is it really that important how they were sniffed out?

The real answer is that if you get an accomplice (usually Nasij, who's always down for a laugh, but sometimes Kisclocila) to pop a stunned mimic in the back window and get them to watch what it turns into, you can usually find it somewhere in the room in the next few days, just going by the neoclassical flourishes mimics always go for. They can't resist gold leaf, it's one of the sad truisms of mimic interior design.

The other fifty weeks of the year, he does card tricks in the market square. He's not as good at that, though.
