Biography

Dusty
God Seeker
____________
71153527.png
« I didn't ask for any of this... »

_ Dusty may initially come off as a timid individual, choosing to remain quiet and rarely talking with anyone whenever he passes through a town or village. However if there's one thing that could garner Dusty's attention and get him to speak up would be the mention of any potential adventure. All Dusty has ever wanted to do is explore and see everything that Ocerus has to offer. If anything, with the amount of exploring he has already achieved you would think he's seen all there is to see, but he insists that there's almost certainly more out there.

There are those that seem to find his passion for adventure rather entertaining since his demeanor seems to be the complete opposite of when they had just met him. And then there are others who worry for him and always warn him to be careful with that unending curiosity of his since it could land him into a bit of trouble on one of his many journeys. He's quick to reassure those who may be worried for him that he's always careful and jokes that his curiosity has yet to get him into trouble.

Looking back on things now... He wishes that the latter half of that statement was still true.

Apparently, trespassing on a shrine that was thought to be long abandoned by its keeper can get you wrapped up in quite a peculiar situation. The issue at hand? Tracking down the "Earthbound" spirits of Ocerus and bringing them to the shrine so they may return to the realm they came from. And sure, you could spin it to say that Dusty's travels have a much greater purpose now, but Dusty would greatly prefer it if they didn't.

At least now he doesn't have to worry about exploring new places alone...

General Stuff:
  • Known as the Seeker and is tasked with tracking down the Earthbound and bringing them to the Shrinekeeper so that they may return to the veil or to unela
    • Earthbound is an umbrella term for both lost spirits and gods alike
    • There have been some cases where, despite Dusty making the long and arduous journey to lead an Earthbound God to the shrine, they refuse to return to Ellerune. Apparently some of the gods have grown accustom to mortal life...
  • Truth be told he didn't want this job as he more enjoyed exploring unknown areas of Ocerus... But this is the price to pay for trespassing on the shrine.
  • Depending on the company he is traveling with he can either be extremely soft spoken maybe only sparing two or three words that aren't pertaining to their direction of travel, or very chatty often times to the point where it can become overwhelming. He is very rarely rude to his travel partners however he won't hesitate to put his foot down and try putting someone in their place regardless of their status.
  • The dragonkin of Lockethon, while they do appreciate his visits, find him to be a bit odd at times as he's usually seen muttering to himself about who knows what. Turns out, he isn't talking to himself but rather a dream spirit that the Shrinekeeper ordered to accompany him who goes by the name of Oneiros. Oneiros isn't traditionally able to be seen by other mortal dragonkin but the Earthbound and Shrinekeeper are capable of seeing them. If Oneiros does wish for a mortal to see them they usually take on the form of a creature that most mortals are familiar with (it usually varies from day to day since they "like to mix things up")
  • While traversing the wilds in his free time he has nearly been struck by a stray arrow (usually belonging to Konu) multiple times. Despite Konu's multiple warnings to stay clear of that area Dusty never seems to learn his lesson... "It's a wonder how he's survived this long."
  • He knows it's rude to play favorites however when it comes to which of the Gods he enjoyed traveling with the most that honor would go to Eros. Being around the God of Love made him feel at ease which is rare when making the journey through the Wilds.
    • On a similar note, his least favorite travel companion would have to be the God of Light, Apollo. He was rather intimidating and standoffish. Anytime Dusty tried to open his mouth to make some sort of conversation he would quickly be shut down. That sort of behavior is what Dusty had expected from the Elder God...
    • In that vein, the Elder God Atsuna was certainly Dusty's most interesting traveling partner. He went from being almost as rude as Apollo to rather timid once Mekiret had hatched. The complete 180 was something Dusty needed to adjust to but he wasn't about to complain.
Appearance:
  • Dusty is a bit on the smaller side for most Imperials when in his dragon form.
  • His antlers resemble those of a caribou's
    • Not entirely uncommon to see any sort of small animal like a bird (or more commonly his pet ferret) perched on his antlers
