Biography

enhedua yaferosn
she/her | homosexual | wanderer | once-priest wife
rHkrVQy.png
|| Background
Enhedua was hatched and raised in the Scarred Wasteland, granddaughter of two of the most powerful dragons in the ancient Clan Archaic. Originally, she was a Skydancer, raised amongst priests devoted to the Plaguemother, so it was only natural that she followed in their clawsteps. By the time she was an adult, Enhedua was a powerful mage as well as a skilled priest, and it was that which drew the interest of the then-Matriarch Grimm.

The details of how Enhedua became one of Grimm's Egg-Bearers are fuzzy, lost to time and disgrace, but either way, she became Grimm's Priest Wife willingly. For many years, Enhedua tended to the Temple of Veins, and taught new Faithful in the ways of worship. She ignored the warning signs for most of her time as Grimm's wife, but unlike her fellow Egg-Bearers, she tendered doubts. Having watched Grimm's fall into corruption, Enhedua agreed to help the young Aldith in her quest to take the family back.

Grimm fell to Aldith's claws, and the new Matriarch offered her a place in the Children in gratitude for her assistance, but Enhedua could not accept it. She had forsaken her god and her faith, and remaining would not absolve her of what she'd done. Saying goodbye to the new, fragile Children, Enhedua packed what little she had and set off on a pilgrimage to the Wyrmwound, desperately clinging to the hope that her journey would bring meaning back into her life.

It took a long time for Enhedua to reach her destination, but despite hardship, she persisted, and reached the Rotrock Rim relatively unscathed. Still displeased with herself and her actions, she decided to continue her wanderings, circling the Wyrmwound itself. And it was because of this that she entered the pestilent pit— whether by accident or on purpose, no one knows. But when the Plaguebringer's oldest children emerged from the virulent concoction, Enhedua was amongst them, forever changed.

|| Current
Reeling from her transformation, Enhedua returned to the only place she knew she could trust: the Bone Spire, long-since restored to its former glory. At first, the Children were wary of her, but Aldith's offer of shelter still stood, and she honored that deal. The once-Priest Wife was allowed to stay in the Temple of Veins, where she remains currently, recovering and dealing with her sudden new body.

Having once been a modern breed, Enhedua is not similar to most of her Aberration peers. She has remained largely similar to what she was like before; soft-spoken and thoughtful, possessing a quiet devotion that made her an excellent priest. Still, to say that the changes haven't affected her would be a lie. Recently, her two heads have begun to ache, and her mind is becoming disjointed and staticy. After all, there's an entirely new brain in her body. There's no telling what it might start to think.

|| Notes
◈ Though she was officially one of Grimm's wives, Enhedua could not bear her any eggs, which made her inclusion amongst the Egg-Bearers very unusual. It's entirely possible that the two married for love, once.
◈ Enhedua is in her mid-eighties.
◈ In an attempt to repay the Children for housing her after all the time she had been away, Enhedua offers advice and assistance to Asgari, when she can. Unfortunately, she is still under suspicion by many of the current family members, and her services are not popular.
◈ Cleric was not Enhedua's original familiar, who passed away long ago. The bear came to her on her pilgrimage, and led her back to the Bone Spire when she was still disjointed from her transformation.
◈ Even after her change, Enhedua retained the general size she had been before, making her noticeably small for an Aberration.
