PERSONALITY

Some people are described as being "electric" - with Zilliah, that's truer than most. A Lightning born-raised-and-trained engineer and electrical technician, Zilliah has an intricate understanding of most lightning-based technology as well as a deep and abiding love of it. She's almost always found working on the clan's powerplant - a dual geothermal/stormbound affair - and maintaining the clan's electrical systems, though it's wise to wait to use anything until Still's had a chance to check it over - Zilliah still hasn't accustomed herself to adjusting for those without her resistance to electricity.

Generally, when things go ZAP, Zilliah isn't far behind.

ABOUT

Hatched in the shadow of the Tempest Spire, Zilliah was drawn to lightning from her first moments. Entranced by the lightning that forked across the sky and never frightened by the deep booms of thunder, Zilliah was known to play with the wires that laced her clan's territories, following them, climbing them, and sometimes wandering far afield in doing so.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, this eventually led to her being taken under the wing of the clan's technicians, taught how to wield a spanner and set of pliers before she could even fly, and led to her being one of the youngest of her clan to become a fully qualified electrical engineer and technician.

Of course, eventually the limits of the clan she was hatched to and the expectations became too much: Zilliah desperately wanted to see the world. Consequently, just after her graduation and the installation of her Stormclaws, she decided to take a year out to Stormchase, testing the ability of her Stormclaws to catch stray lightning and tame it to her will.

Such stormchasing eventually led her over the border and into the Ashfall Waste, where the volcanic activity and plumes of smoke led to incredible storms, well beyond anything she'd ever seen before. Though she returned home briefly, her mind was made up:

She was moving to Fire.

It took her some time to find an appropriate place, but letters with other engineers eventually sent her to the Clan of Tethys, where she first met Earthborn Nergal, who had a deep curiosity of the element he was uncannily resistant to.

After extensive discussion of what she wanted to explore and what she might bring to the clan, she was welcomed, and thence was followed by several other dragons, all with their own interests in engineering. Consequently she formed her own specific crew, liaising with Nergal due to her general lack of patience for actual administrative work.

These days Zilliah is found most usually in the clan's power plant and otherwise rushing around the clan territory, making sure that her new installations are all working as intended.

RELATIONSHIPS

Zilliah has only so much patience for things which do not go zap and so consequently Councilwork is something she avoids. However, long-standing council advisor Nergal has an interest in Zilliah's work and has willingly become their liaison.

As his name suggests, Still is much more steady than the energetic Zilliah, and helps with the more practical aspects of their work. While Zilliah can get anything working, it's Still who makes sure it's working as intended.

The Really Helpful Electrical Ngineer ("That's not how you spell, Zilliah!"), Rhen came with Zilliah from Lightning and is deeply loyal. While the Electrical Crew can deal with most things, Rhen is for any electrical problems too dangerous even for them, and is very efficient.

Absilmore's job is primarily to assist Still. While Still modulates the electrical load, Absilmore carefully safety-proofs everything he possibly can, from keeping wires out of the easy reach of hatchlings, to properly insulating the cabling of Firefall Port.

While Zilliah's boundless energy is good for any number of problems, theer are always occasions when the clan's batteries and generator run low, and energy must be sought. When this happens, Enelysios is called, and summons great lightning strikes down.
