Pieta is the personal Guard to Ealda. She is very honourable, and feels bound to her oath to protect the Queen Consort. She is less conniving than the court members, preferring to let her principles guide her unswervingly. As such, she is difficult to manipulate- by even Ealda- as she always puts her Queen's safety first.
____Perhaps surprisingly, Pieta doesn't even particularly like Ealda, though she admires her ambition. But Pieta prefers not to dwell on the more negative aspects of her charge; it seems easier this way.
