Biography
Irene- Digger- The Dazed Inspector
Theme Song
Mate: N/A
Quirk: When given tasks, she needs to be told when to stop or she'll keep doing it.
Irene is one of the newer diggers, and is the first Obelisk to join the Clan. One of the newly discovered Obelisk species, Irene is a curious dragon who has a positive attitude and enjoys helping out her Clan. Using her colossal strength, she has become a great asset to the Digging Division, and Sven is quite pleased with her. However, like many dragons, she has her own set of quirks. Irene tends to get so engrossed in what she is doing that she will often continue to do it until someone tells her to stop. When she is told to dig, she'll often forget to take breaks and keep going. When counting treasure, she'll continue to count and recount. Even when inspecting things, she'll often continue for hours to memorize every detail. While some think she is slow, this tends to come more from Irene's boundless curiosity- she likes to know every detail about everything. Sven has thankfully learned to work with her, viewing her tendencies as a strong work ethic rather than a hindrance.
This was not always the case. Irene used to belong to a nomadic Clan where she was expected to hunt and fight, and she was expected to learn hard and fast. While Irene maintained her positive attitude, her old Clanmates were less than pleased with her tendency to stop and smell the roses, and noted that while she was always willing to start a task, she had a tendency to fail when it came to "stopping". Irene could hunt all day, but it wouldn't matter if she forgot to bring her food back to the Clan. She could fish for hours, but if she never brought it back, someone else would eat it. She could master a fighting move fairly quickly, but tended to repeat it over and over in sparring. Eventually, Irene stopped to examine an interesting hole and her Clan, tired of her tendency to stop and think, kept moving without her.
Eventually, her hunger roused her from her from her thoughts, but Irene was a bit hurt to see that everyone had left her behind. As fate would have it, however, the whole in question belonged to the Azeryx Clan- Sven had been doing some digging near the edge of the Clan's territory. Discovering the lost Irene, Sven immediately felt a warmth in his heart and, on a whim, invited Irene to join. Irene, feeling a similar warmth, accepted the offer. She learned how to dig for treasure and her willingness to go the extra mile has given her a firm place in the Digging Division.
Irene enjoys hanging with her digging friends, having a close friendship with Sven and Onyx in particular. She also enjoys spending time with Belle, Aurora, Grommet, Dove, and Erik.
