Biography

Onyx- Digger- The Burning Drill

Theme Song

Mate: Who cares? But also is lowkey hooking up with Aegis.

Quirk: Digs up into other Clanmate's lairs by accident.

Onyx is the right hand of Sven and works with the diggers. Her personality is a lot more fiery and rambunctious than her digging comrades- for this reason, her passion for tunneling helps her get along with Sven, while it annoys Esmeralda- it makes her look bad, and she LOATHES her for it. Onyx believes in doing everything with 110% effort, and she often tries to make things into a competition. She hates to lose.

Onyx was originally born with extremely weak skin and was very sensitive to the cold air surrounding the tundra. Weak and sickly, she was often unable to enjoy the games that her fellow hatchlings would play, and she would be stuck inside. Eventually she grew lonely and sad, wandering around the lair in her gloom, wishing she could keep warm in the snow. But this eventually led her to talk around, and see if she could find a way to cure her condition. Glimmer had no idea, but one dragon managed to come up with a solution: Sprocket.

For the next day, Sprocket experimented on Onyx, researching all sorts of ways that she could improve the Snapper's condition. Eventually, Sprocket had a breakthrough. Working hard, she managed to implant a furnace into Onyx's body that kept her entire body warm. Ever since then, Onyx has been able to work through the snow in ease. The only downside is that her scales were changed to be completely black, but it was a small price to pay for a life she enjoyed. Once she was able to keep warm, her body toughened up as she worked and played in the snow, and she overcame her weak form. Despite this, she keeps the furnace because she's grown attached to it.

Onyx herself is fun, but when she gets mad, look out because her temper will flare. Other than that, she can often be found bathing in hot springs, eating food in the cavern, or chatting with her friends. She gets along well with Quartz and often tells stories alongside her, although Onyx's stories tend to be a bit more...violent.

Onyx gets along with Quartz, Sven, Norberta, Dread, and enjoys the presence of Click. She dislikes Orzios and Esmeralda, as well as Gideon.

Onyx fought in the Bringer War, and only sustained minor injuries.

"Sven may be the leader, but I love watching Onyx push those gossipers around more than him." -Norberta

"Her body is very strange- I've never seen an Ice dragon burn the way she does, aside from Rex...very curious." -Dove

"HEY WATCH IT, I'M TUNNELING HERE!" -Onyx
