Many say she was blessed with her power. But was it a blessing, or a curse? To her, it was a curse, a burden set upon her that she couldn't get rid of, no matter what. If only everyone else could see how much pain she had to go through just because of this supposed blessing. She was born with her power, given to her by the deities themselves. But it came with a price... she was blind, and mute. She couldn't ever see the world she lived in, couldn't ever speak, no mater how hard she tried. She could communicate telepathically, but it felt different.
Terrified, her parents threw her out the moment she opened her eyes. She was left alone, by herself, in the darkness. She wandered for years straight, finding her way around the world without seeing. She should've died long ago, but she couldn't. She was immortal.
She had never known what it was like to speak or to see. She couldn't miss something she never had, anyways. So when she actually saw the transparent, ghostly white dragons in front of her, she completely freaked out. How...? And for once in her life, she found joy, she found her family amongst the souls of the two dragons who had passed long ago. They journeyed together. Life was hard on Siren, but at least she had them. She knew in her heart that as long as they were together, they would be alright. She felt normal together with them. She wasn't just the weird one, the one who couldn't see or talk.
But then they were gone. They had found their peace with her, it was time for them to move on. She screamed, she pleaded for them not to go. Tears dripped down her face. But they had made their decision. They vanished, leaving nothing behind but thin white mist that eventually disappeared too, leaving her to the darkness. They left her by herself, despite promising never to leave her.
...And then she was alone again, in the darkness...
