"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing." A nomadic clan of Longneck wandering in Dragonhome came upon a strange statue of a dragon, a breed unlike any they had ever seen. Even more curious was the egg it held in its paws with a small sprout on top. When one of them gently took the egg, the statue crumbled to dust. With many questions and answers to none of them, the group continued their travels with the egg safely in their possession. Within a few days, the egg hatched into a dragon that looked exactly like the statue. The Longneck clan raised the young Maybar as one of their own. Despite her mysterious origins, Maybar enjoyed a humble existence. She learned to be quite diplomatic, often breaking up skirmishes between her adoptive siblings and cousins. She even diffused tensions with other Beastclan folks as she got older, something that happened more than she would have liked as many did not take very kindly to finding a dragon in the ranks of a Longneck clan. She has a heightened understanding of how the Beastclans see their place in the world than perhaps the average dragon might. Despite adoring her family, Maybar felt the urge to join her fellow dragons in the territory that was apparently her place of origin. At least, that was what she told her family; in part she also felt guilty that her presence caused problems among the Beastclan they encountered, and wanted to ease their day to day tension. Once in the Labyrinth, Maybar ran into Daybreak and Quill. The two were very tired from a meeting with another clan they had just finished, but they enthusiastically welcomed her to return to their Mothden with them. The three discussed diplomatic strategies and cracked some jokes together on the trek home, and it wasn't long before Maybar joined their team. She primarily led them in interacting with members of the Beastclans. With her help, Mothden began to forge better relations with their non-draconic nieghbors. With Maybar's influence, it became a common sight to see Beastclan folks visiting the territory. Maybar's Longneck family members occasionally come by, and she cherishes those visits. |
