"Why can't we work together to protect what we love?" Daybreak is one of the co-founders of Mothden, and acts as deputy. When Sunset had entered the territory that Daybreak and his Charge, Chrysal the Leafy Moth, lived in, he immediately attacked her and demanded that she leave. That caused an issue, given Sunset had just adopted the territory as her own Charge. After they argued for a while, they decided that they would both stay and protect Chrysal and her home. Soon, they found themselves growing very fond of each other, became mates, and created an official clan. Daybreak still remains the clan's deputy leader. Daybreak is a rather timorous dragon. Unless Chrysal or the Den is in immediate danger, he is easily frightened and not one to take bodily risks. He is amiable and sympathetic, and gets along with most of the clan. However, he remains intimidated by Felidae ever since the Wildclaw attacked him during a fit of unchecked anger. Daybreak tries very hard not to let it show, but he tries his best to avoid Felidae at any reasonable cost. On a surface level, he seems rather embarrassed to have an insect as his Charge. If asked about it, he usually mentions that Guardians don't any control over what their Charge is. However, there always seems to be something else about the topic on the tip of his tongue that he can never seem to fully recall. Whatever it is, he often becomes more nervous and protective of Chrysal when it comes up. It gives the impression that there's more to the situation than anyone is aware of. |
