The Dustcarve Dig had been completed, unveiling a cache of statues created by the Earthshaker. These statues were actually a dormant and new dragon breed, and upon contact, the statues began to shed their rocky exteriors and come alive. The Crystal Nook, having participated in the excavation with enthusiasm, claimed one of the statues to urge into dragonhood, with the resulting Obelisk joining their clan. With the nature ascribed to him by the Earthshaker, Kouros has become the clan's watchman, preparing to detect the danger he was warned of, and protect his new home.

The Dormant Obelisk Statue begins to shake, cracks forming along its surface. After a moment, the rough exterior falls away in a shower of rubble, revealing a full-grown adult Obelisk Male.
