Inspire awoke with his Obelish brethren from stone carved by the Earthshaker, brought to light during the exploration of the Dragonhome Exploration Guild. He shook himself from his sleep, scattering the remaining dust. At first, he was aware of few things: his name, and the fact that the Earthshaker had a duty for him and his kind: protect from an unseen threat.

Still shaky on his new legs, Inspire left the cave to see the world for the first time.Almost immediately, he decided to test out his new wings, taking flight. A dragon with greater knowledge of the world might have decided to wait, as a storm was starting to brew in the sky, but Inspire still decided to make that attempt. He soared into the sky, delighting in the feel of air beneath him. While it was the Earthshaker who created him, Inspire's inner magic was still fresh and malleable, and during that flight under the rain and between the clouds it changed alliance, filling him with the Stormcatcher's power instead.

Exploring, Inspire soon came across the lone hatchling Dayshadow. He took it under his wing, even if he knew little of how to care for an hatchling, not wanting to leave the small dragon on its own. They traveled together, moving south and learning about the world.

Eventually, they left Dragonhome, and reached the Starfall Isles. The Arcane realm was nice, the elemental energies pulsing in a different way than those of Dragonhome. There they came across a small group of Gaoler dragons. As Obelisks had recently been awoken, most other dragons hadn't met one yet, and the Gaolers were fascinated by these new children of the Earthshaker, offering Inspire and Dayshadow to rest in their clan if needed.

Not only did they rest there, but they decided to become permanent part of the clan. Inspire found various dragons who were learnt in some way, and decided to learn from them what he could about the world. He also liked the philosophy of the Gaolers of the clan, whose goal was to protect the land - well, for some it was at least. Sanguine never had much interest in fighting or hard work in general, nonetheless Inspire greatly enjoys xir company. The two of them have a... thing, they're not exactly mates, it's more of a reoccurring fling.

Inspire is also fond of hatchlings in general. He is both a good fighter and a good teacher, and he has taken it upon himself to teach the young ones how to protect themselves. They don't all need to be warriors, but at least they should know the basics of self-defense.
