"Isolation? I know no man. He is a fool, faulty and a liar, for isolation is a choice of the meek. I choose to be alone to live out what is my only purpose, not to escape from the treacherous other..”

Nephilim was created as soon as Commodore was, right after Lester and Axus’ war. It seemed as if the world wanted a foil between Commodore, the shining mediator of goodness, and instead personified what it was before. The truth was that Nephilim came with no intention to stay. While the other created a truce, he steadily stared at them as if they weren’t real. An isolationist at heart, he, for the most part, found no investments in such a realm. So much so that he didn’t even bother to introduce himself, only retreating from the earth and staying in a cluster that lacked mass and was filled with darkness. The idea of being near such a place annoyed him and, in all of his glory, he made a place for himself within the masses of the darkness and blankness of space.

It was a nice spot, one that he crafted for quite a long time. However, a god— Commodore— found his home and invaded it in jest. He said that he wanted to meet the ‘one’ sleeping in such an area, to which Nephilim happened to be. He berated him, not wanting to be associated. However, Commodore practically forced him from his spot. It was there that Nephilim unwillingly met his brothers Axus and Lester. The two of them seemed pleased enough to meet him, but to Nephilim, it felt like interaction he should never have. Commodore threatened him to contribute to the truce i of immortality in private amongst the creatures as, if not, there wouldn’t be anything for him to grace his presence with. Essentially, without Nephilim, it would not work. A confused and angry Nephilim lashed out and ran off, going back to the shadows.

And thus, he was isolated and further from the earth. Indeed, he began to have quite the life there. He made his own sculptures, created his own little blank space and found it the best place to be in. In his free time, he both slept and counted the terrestrial constructs, being an observer for many years. After so many years, Nephilim felt as if he found peace.

Or so he thought.

Commodore came. Again. And with something he wanted. Apparently, they all wanted to create something: humans, but they couldn’t do it without Nephilim’s help. Apparently, two others had plopped out into existence whilst Nephilim lived his greatest life, but he couldn’t. Commodore practically forced him into greeting the others and temporarily lending his magic to give the day and night cycles. He would not be tricked again.

But it wasn’t a choice. Commodore forced him there. Watched his every move. Made him contribute. And every time they needed more from him— an archangel, a new sentient species, Commodore would force him from his kind home and make him form such existences.

It’s been a long time since then, and now, Nephilim has seen both Pluti and Klemperer occasionally. They’re the only ones he can slightly tolerate, as his memories of the other 3 are… less than savory with Aeno being the true middle ground. The good thing is that he can live in his home in peace, and it’s been many, many years since he was forced to do the bidding of the group. Hopefully, it will stay that way. Hopefully, he’ll remain in the small crevice of the universe he formed for himself and never have to face them again.

But perhaps that’s too much to ask.

82802241p.png AXUS (Despisement) - “You did nothing… and said nothing. Something about the way you look at us both makes me think you knew

80707803p.png KLEMPERER (Tolerance) - “… you may come. You are fine. Ask questions, if you’d prefer. Some chess, as well.”

74585431p.png COMMODORE (Hatred) - “Don’t you dare come near here! Don’t you dare infest my place with your bastardly light. Don’t place a singular talon upon my territory! I won’t let you take me away ever again!

80631783p.png LESTER (Despisement) - “You let him. You’re wrong.”

82861336p.png AENO (Neutral) - “We have some things in common… I never thought I’d think such a thing for a god that entertains realms.”

82885926p.png PLUTIO (Tolerance) - “Come inside, but don’t steal the stars… they’re in my collection. I trust you well enough.”

54675779p.png CIHUATECAYOTL (Neutral) - “So long as he doesn’t bring such ridiculousness over my land.”

83563493p.png UMI II (Annoyance) - “If he admitted to more then I wouldn’t have to go to so many half-witted trials so [/often].”

76201885p.png POLNAREFF VI (Annoyance) - “Thank the darkness that there are no bones in my terrain.”

74611035p.png KAURI IV (Neutral) - “Better in confinement then towards my land.”

78911394p.png MARIEL XI (???) - “I never enjoyed your creation— oh, yes. I remember. I added a… surfeit of my own. If they would force me out again, it wouldn’t be without a price.”

72192597p.png SORA (Dismissive) - “I’m not interested in petty affairs.”

83259235p.png “VOID” (Neutral, Slight Annoyance) - “I care not for the cause nor the dragon himself, more that he forced me to go to yet another trial and yet another lack of interest.”

62717881p.png “HAVESOMETEA” (Neutral, Slight Annoyance) - “I’d have no protests if it wasn’t for the long time he spoke about… family. Every second wasted was a second longer away from my home.”

74834305p.png TYIRUS (Neutral, Slight Annoyance) - “A subpar display of brute force.”

70481496p.png CUDI (Neutral, Somewhat Joyous) - “You could see it in his eyes. He wanted nothing more than to tear apart Cihuate’s armor, and did so before his death. He was… quite the highlight.”

83254214p.png ??? (???) - “Something white occasionally catches my eye a ways away. Perhaps it’s a star.”

78918364p.png SOULSONG (Neutral, Slight Enjoyment) - “I enjoyed her use of the concepts I embodied. It is a shame that she has died.”
