Famine, the Second of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Where Pestilence treads, Famine follows. Water and skies are poisoned, as the earth becomes hard and unyielding. Crops that were once harvested aplenty wither and die, taken by inexplicable illness or too-harsh weather.

Flora and fauna fall alike, as food dwindles to a minimum. The less fortunate are forgotten as the privileged turn their gazes onto themselves, self-preservation instincts kicking into gear, hoarding rampant among them. Charity and laughter become as scarce as full tummies, a distant memory of a better time.

As the weak become weaker and Pestilence spreads its roots, the drums of War draw closer.
