Feste was once a close follower of the Windsinger, a playful spirit flitting after the twist of his tail. In truth, they were drawn towards a home and a sense of belonging they could not understand: their heart was with dragonkind, and even as the Windsinger moved onwards from settlements, Feste was so tempted to stay. They finally found their home within the halls of the Astrolodome, where the Arcanist was so impressed with the tunes they could make, he entreated that Feste teach such lyrics to his followers. This was met with such ceremony that Feste felt that truly they had found their calling. Soon did the Arcanist take Feste in as one of his followers, though the spirit never took well to lessons and teachings. His other students find Feste rather unreliable; there is no telling if they shall come when summoned, though they seem to have a knack for appearing when not even called. Their presence is like a tune, both stuck in one's head and eternally on the tip of their tongue. It's perhaps not their fault, as they owe part of their existence to the Wind, and sometimes find the urge to fly again. Feste leaves the Starfall Isles more than most to get their fill of exploration, though thus far they never seem to fail to return home again. One could guess this due in part to their on again, off again relationship with the shadow caster.

They are also rather close with the Arcanist's star pupil, and will frequently deliver messages between him and his beloved. Lucien does not always appreciate his prophecies set to rhyme and song, though he cannot deny that it makes them rather catchy and easy to remember.
