basics: some sort of musical instrument-making artisan. brass has a couple of devoted apprentices (one of them a musician) that travel with him in a group under the name of the scholars' guild, becoming good friends with him and learning more about his craft.

battle prowess: brass and his team find themselves encountering a few beastclan squadrons during their travels, fiercely protecting his allies with the stormcatcher's power.
